Reporting to the CEO, the Divisional Manager City Planning and Sustainability is a member of the Executive Management Team, manages a budget of $200m and leads a team of over 600 across the functions of Planning and Economic Development, Development Services, Parklands Strategy and Support, and Natural Environment, Water and Sustainability. The City Planning and Sustainability Division plays the key role in shaping the future shape of Brisbane, rarely more important than now with the potential of a South East Queensland hosted Olympics.

To be successful in this role, you will possess at least some of the following experiences - tertiary qualifications in a discipline related to the Division's functions, operating within a public sector environment, and strategic leadership of large and complex policy/asset owner oriented team. Most importantly you will possess a resilient and respectful leadership style, understand and value organisational culture, be mindful and deliberate in your engagement of others, and think and act with a One Council mindset.
